A dog named Roy has captured hearts after being found abandoned in the rain and later rehomed into a loving family.
Roy was first spotted sitting alone in the pouring rain, still wearing a collar. It was clear he had been left behind, but the loyal dog stayed put, seemingly waiting for his owner to return.
“He just sat there, soaking wet but hopeful,” said the person who found him and called for help. “I stood by him and asked for someone to come help us.”
Roy was taken to a local veterinarian, where it was discovered he had minor injuries on his front legs, likely from an accident. After a few days of care and treatment, he was well enough to go home with his rescuer.

“He was so gentle and trusting, even after everything,” they said. “I couldn’t understand how someone could leave him behind.”
The dog, now named Roy, quickly bonded with his new guardian and enjoyed playing with toys and receiving affection. But his journey wasn’t over. Roy struggled at night, showing signs of trauma and longing for his former owner.
Then things took a turn – Roy developed a high fever and stopped eating. He was rushed back to the vet. “I was really scared,” his new owner said. “But he wagged his tail and looked at me, like he knew I was there for him.”

Thanks to quick medical care and support, Roy recovered. Over time, he began to move on from his past and settled fully into his new home.
“Now, he’s happy,” said his owner. “He plays, he cuddles, and he knows he’s safe.”
Roy’s story is a powerful reminder of the loyalty of animals—and the difference love and care can make in a second chance.
